Georgian Cup has started. Three eights-final matches were held at the Olympic Palace today and, accordingly, the names of the 3 quarter-finalists were also revealed. These are Tskhum-Apkhazeti, Mega and Olimpi.

We would like to remind you that all 11 teams of Super League and 5 teams of “A” League are participating in the cup. The teams got into 4 baskets according to the ranking and as a result of the draw, the eighth-final pairs were created. Due to the epidemic situation, the playoff series was reduced to 1 match. Consequently, today the winning teams in the eighth final reached the quarterfinals directly.

Despite a solid backlog, Titebi still had a chance to succeed. The team coached by Beso Lezhava fought to the end, even reduced the gap to 5 points in the decisive minutes, but they did not have the strength to take the final step. Mega came to victory and reached the quarterfinals, where they will meet the winner between TSU and Orbi.
