The winner of the Georgian Cup will be revealed on April 27. Which teams will meet for one of the most prestigious basketball titles in our country, will be found out on April 26, when the Final Four, which is historic for the Georgian Cup, starts.
For the first time, the final phase of the cup tournament will be held with the Final Four. This news was planned in this tournament last year, however, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Final Four could not be held because the cup tournament, like the other tournaments, was suspended in March 2020.
Covid-situation is still not stable, but according to the regulations, the boys’ professional basketball tournaments (Super League, “A” League, Georgian Cup) are going according to plan.
Rustavi, Kutaisi, Tskhum-Apkhazeti and Olimpi are in the Final Four of the Cup. In Olimpi and TSU pair, Olimpi will play in the Final Four due to covid-regulations. They will meet Rustavi, which is considered the favorite participant in the tournament. In the second pair, Kutaisi will play against Tskhum-Apkhazeti.
