Georgian Veterans’ Team held a second match on the World Veterans Championship in Finland. Georgians’ rival was Italy, who defeated Poland in the first round. Georgia beat Columbia before this match and we would automatically go to the playoffs in case of victory. Unfortunately, the match ended with Italians’ victory – 81:74.
Paata Guraspauli and Guliver Akhalkatsi were the most effective from Georgians, with 11-11 points each. Zaza Ghonghadze scored 10 points, Amrosi Ormotsadze and Alexandre Periashvili had 9-9 points each. Davit Giorgobiani collected 7 points, Zaza Tsagareishvili and Levan Tsulaia had 5-5 points each.
