The 3×3 basketball championship named after the national hero of Georgia, Giorgi Antsukhelidze continues in Batumi.
The teams of the Georgian Defense Forces are participating in the tournament.
Deputy minister of defense, Grigol Giorgadze and chief of western command, General of brigade, Koba Grigolia attended opening games of second round, thanked all participants and wished them good luck.
The reservists of the National Guard will participate in the tournament for the first time as well. The winning team will receive the transitional cup named after Giorgi Antsukhelidz and holders of prize-winning places will be awarded the special medals and certificates.
Tournament was founded by initiative of prime minister Irakli Garibashvili and was dedicated to Giorgi Antsukhelidze’s birthday, symbolically named after national hero. The 3×3 Basketball tournament is organized by the Georgian Defense Forces with the support of the National Basketball Federation and it place in every August.
