Georgian 3×3 basketball national team finished the qualifying tournament of European championship. Georgians lost the first meeting held in Riga, Latvia with Montenegro (16:20), after which they played against one of the favorites – Latvia, who won silver medals last year. The hosts gained a convincing victory (21:7) and the tournament finished for Georgia.
As we already know, Georgian team was in the group with 2 other teams and took the last place after losing all 2 games. The winners between Latvia and Montenegro will gain the right to play to the second stage.
Let us remind you, that there are 11 teams in Latvia qualifiers and they are fighting for 2 tickets. One team from each group will go to the second stage after which two best teams will be revealed and they will play in Hungary on September 2-5 for the Europe Cup.
Mikheil Berishvili, Zura Machaladze, Giorgi Korsantia and Rezo Chachanidze played on behalf of Georgia in the qualifying tournament.
