Simonebi won the last qualifying round of 3x3 GeoTour 2021

The next 3×3 GeoTour 2021 qualifying tournament ended with the victory of the team Simonebi. We would like to remind you that this was the last tournament before the final stage, which should reveal the champion of Georgia in 3×3 basketball.

The 5th 3×3 GeoTour 2021 qualifying tournament was hosted by the Olympic Palace. The 12 participating teams were divided into 4 groups in the traditional format and one best from each group advanced to the semifinals. In the first semi-final, Scooby defeated GGG 19:18 in a tense battle, while in the second pair, the Simonebi beat Ninetalles 21:18.

The final confrontation was dramatic. Brothers Levan and Nika Lolishvili, Beka Shvelidze and Saba Siradze defended the honor of Simonebi, while Bili Aliyev, Dato Dadunashvili, Mamuka Bazuashvili and Vaka Bichashvili competed in Scooby. In an equal fight, with a difference of 1 point – 21:20 Simonebi beat Scooby and won the cash prize along with the championship cup. Nika Lolishvili became the MVP of the tournament, which was awarded by the head of the 3×3 basketball department of the Basketball Federation, Giga Gurgenidze.

We would like to remind you that in the final tournament 3×3 GeoTour 2021, the 12 best teams selected from the previous rounds will fight for the championship of Georgia. Along with the title of the best team in the country, the winner will receive 2500 GEL, while the second place-holder will receive 1000 GEL.
