The next qualifying round of 3x3 GeoTour 2021 was held in Mtatsminda Park

Selection of teams for the 3×3 Championship of Georgia continues. Another, 11th team has been added to the final stage of 3×3 GeoTour 2021. Accordingly, it remains to identify 1 more participant who will gather 12 teams and will take part in the final tournament.

The next qualifying tournament was held in Mtatsminda Park under the Giant Wheel. The tournament was held within the framework of sports activities of the Georgian Sports Management Association and “State 51”. It should be noted that a number of sports or cultural activities were held by these organizations in Mtatsminda Park.

12 teams participated in the 3×3 GeoTour 2021 qualifying tournament and they were divided into 4 groups. The winner of each group advanced to the semifinals, Scooby defeated Qari 1 – 18:8, and GGG defeated Ninatalles in a tense battle – 11:10.

GGG, whose honor was defended by Mate Kapanadze, Vova Tavaqarashvili, Giorgi Tskhvaradze and Irakli Bitskinashvili, won the final match 14:11 over Scooby and gained the cup for the winner, 300 GEL prize and a trip to GeoTour 2021. Vova Tavaqarashvili was named the best player of the tournament, which was awarded by Giga Gurgenidze, the head of the 3×3 basketball department of the National Basketball Federation.

The next and the last qualifying round of the 3×3 GeoTour 2021 will take place on September 30th.
