Georgian National Championship in 3X3 Basketball – 3×3 GeoTour 2021 continues. The championship started on August 12, with a qualifying round in Tbilisi, from which 8 best teams advanced to the final stage. 3×3 GeoTour 2021 format involves qualifying tournaments in different regions, from which the best teams will get tickets to the final stage and reveal the champion of Georgia in the final tournament.
According to the schedule, the next qualifying rounds were planned in Batumi, Kutaisi, Telavi and Rustavi, but due to the Covid-pandemic they will be held in the capital. The nearest qualifying tournament will be held on September 18 at the Tbilisi Olympic Palace.
According to the Covid regulations, only fully-vaccinated players can participate in the tournament, as well as those with the negative PCR test results taken in the last 72 hours before the tournament.
Each winning team of the qualifying rounds will receive 300 GEL from the prize fund, while the winning team of the final tournament will receive 2500 GEL. The second place winner will receive 1000 GEL from the prize fund.
The number of teams participating in qualifying tournaments is not limited. The teams that have reached the final stage of the Tbilisi tour can also participate in the next 4 qualifying tournaments and if they win, they will get 300 GEL, and the ticket to the final stage will be awarded to the next best team.
