10th round of Super League has finished. Team of Tbilisi State University defeated tulips with 10 point difference – 89:79 (Statistics) and tied with Rustavi in the standings of ongoing Championship. Nowadays TSU and Rustavi are sharing IV-V places in Super League.
Team coached Lekso Lapanashvili had tough game despite the fact that Tulips were missing some key players and had to compete only with 7 team members. Due to rotation purposes team released one of legionaries and other 3 Georgian players could not play because of virus. Despite these problems Tulips played equal game in first half. After 20 points scoring run by TSU in 3rd quarter, (69:49), Lezhava’s team still continued to resist, and had chance to succeed by the end of the game as well.
Tulips started 4th quarter with 12 points scoring run and cut down difference to 8 points. TSU stated to series of attack and thanks to Nodar Gogodze’s points difference was increased again. Leader of TSU’s offense, Nodar Gogodze, scored 8 three-pointers and 29 points in total. Mikheil Berishvili collected 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists, Giorgi Tsintsadze contributed 9 points and 7 assists.
Luke Meyers with 24 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists had best result in Tulips. Kventin Devis collected 19 points and 8 rebounds, Kenrrick Perkins contributed 12 points. After 2 victories and 7 defeats Tulips and Vera are on the bottom of the standings. Next tour of Super League will take place on December 30th.
