Kakha Kaladze responded to European Championship 2021 at the Tbilisi Municipal Council meeting:

Group Phase matches of EuroBasket 2021 will be held in Georgia, which is very important. Many developed countries took part in this competition, but Georgia won.

I would like to thank everyone and wish success. We will be prepared for this event – the city will be ready with all-round infrastructure.

The countries such as Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Slovenia had the desire and compliance to host this event and Georgia was selected among them, which is a step forward. The role of each of you will be very important to honorably host this significant tournament.
