Cactus Defeated Delta By 1 Points And Is Among The Leaders Of Super League

the outcome of game between one of the leaders, Cactus and another ambitious team Delta was decided in overtime. After tough game, team coached Irakli Khoshtaria defeated opponent only by 1 points – 75:74 and consequently Irakli Dzidziguri’s team lost 3rd game in a row. Few weeks ago Delta was among the leaders but their position in standing is definitely worsen now. On the other hand Cactus continues to surprise us, team of Khostaria has won 7 and lost only 1 game in ongoing championship and shares 1-2 places with Caucasus.

Game between Cactus and Delta was mostly equal, it was visible from the beginning that final would be very tensed. after main time score was tie – 67:67, however Cactus could gain victory without overtime. Winning team missed 3 pointer shot in last minute of the game and in response opponent scored 3 pointer. After missed attack, Cactus players did not have enough time to take technical foul and Avy Tumer scored long distance 3 pointer, tying the score 5 seconds before the final buzzer.

In the beginning of overtime, Delta was taking the lead, however Cactus first equalized the score and afterwards advanced by 2 points. Leader of the game was changed 2 more times. In decisive moments, Ryan Alen from Cactus stole ball from Avy Tummer and scored successful points in counter attack. Gurjaani players did not have enough time to affect the outcome of the game.
With 20 points and 23 rebounds, Jason Copman had best result among Cactus players. Copman improved his own record of rebounds as well. Ryan Allen contributed 24 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. As for Delta, Avy Tumer with 21 points and 11 rebounds was the most vulnerable player of his team. Gegi Bakradze collected 17 points and 8 rebounds.
