Georgian National Basketball Federation is celebrating its jubilee today. 30 years ago, on June 4, 1991, shortly after gaining state independence, the National Basketball Federation was founded.
Despite many difficulties and obstacles, the Basketball Federation has come to this day with dignity and serves Georgian basketball faithfully.
The goal of the federation has always been, is and will be the development of Georgian basketball. Our focus is on the future, the younger generations and constant progress.
Hosting EuroBasket 2022 is a valuable achievement that will play a huge role in the development of basketball in our country.
It is gratifying that the Vera Basketball Hall of historical importance has already been given to the Georgian National Basketball Federation and basketball has returned home.
