Press Conference - U20 European Championship Begins
Today U20 European Championship took place in Tbilisi. Such huge basketball event has never been held in Georgia. 19 teams are competing in “B” division and Georgia is among them.
On the first day of the tournament our team was resting. During games, coach Milos Gligorijevic and team manager Shalva Oniani visited “Tbilisi Arena”, met journalists and talked about players’ condition and upcoming plans.
We remind you that Georgia will play in pool B and face Sweden, North Macedonia, Austria, and Kosovo.
According to tournament system, 2 leading teams will qualify from each group, they will continue fight for championship from Quarterfinals. As for the others, they will compete for 9-19 places of the tournament. Champion of Division “B”, vice champion and 3rd place holder will qualify to division “A” and compete in elite next year.
