Georgian referees and commissioners continue to work at the international level, and their position is increasing month by month. Kirile Tvauri was named as the main referee of a FIBA international game a few months ago. This time Mikheil Vartanov will have the opportunity to officiate an important game. Panathinaikos will play Jewish “Holon” in the FIBA Europe Women’s Cup on January 5th, and the match will be officiated by two Georgian referees, Kirile Tvauri and Mikheil Vartanovi. Mikheil Vartanov has been appointed as the main referee, and the upcoming match will be his first as such.
Megab Ratishvili, the only Georgian Commissioner who works at national team games on a regular basis, will attend three different FIBA events. He will serve and Women’s EuroLeague, Women’s European Cup, and Men’s European Cup games on December 21st, January 10th, and 12th.
