Georgian U16 team won another qualification game at FIBA European Championship (“B” Division). Team coached by Irakli Cherkezishvili and Dimitri Jakobov faced Czechia and defeated peers 65:87 (Statistics).
Nikoloz Abuladze’s performance should be outlined. Player of Georgian U16 team with 30 points and 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals was most vulnerable player of the game. Avtandil Bakhtadze and Guram Tskhadadze scored per 17 points, as for Aleksandre Daushvili, he contributed 11 points.
We remind you that Championship took place in Sofia, Bulgaria, and 22 countries are participating. Best 3 prize winner teams will promote to elite A division. Georgian U16 team will continue to compete for 9-22 places and hold next qualification game against the winner between Great Britain and Ukraine, on August 19th at 21:30.
