On November 1st Board of Georgian National Basketball Federation appointed new Secretary General, Davit Sakvarelidze.
The former general secretary, Giorgi Kartvelishvili, was elected to the post for 2 terms, and during his 9 years has implemented numerous beneficial reforms. On behalf of the Georgian Basketball Federation and the Georgian basketball world, we would like to thank Giorgi Kartvelishvili, who, along with being a member of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Board, is the head of Legal department and continues his career there.
New secretary general has already appointed Lashae Gamkrelidze, well-known figure for Georgian basketball world, as his deputy. Recently Mr. Gamkrelidze has been a member of National Federation’s Board and he will continue his duties there as well.
