Georgian U16 Team will finish European Championship B division wether on 19th or 20th place. The team trained by Dimitri Jakobov and Davit Rogava held another qualifying match with Belarus, lost 61:68 and didn’t gain right to compete in the match for 17th place. In another qualifying match Cyprus defeated Slovakia, which means, Georgia will meet Slovakia for 19th place.
It is noteworthy that Georgian team won the first quarter 22:10 and had 13-points leadership for the big break. Belarus, however, reduced the difference to 7 points in the third period and managed to advance in the decisive one. Belarus gained victory eventually, winning the final period 22:8.
Sandro Kasaburi was the mos effective with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Luka Liklikadze scored 11 points, 13 rebounds and 3 steals. Luka Avaliani had 12 points.
The match between Georgia and Slovakia will take place on August 12, 18:00 (Georgian time).
