Georgian U16 team finished a group phase of European Championship B division. Georgians played against Portugal in the final tour of the tournament held in Montenegro and lost 57:70. The team trained by Dimitri Jakobov and Davit Rogava gained 1 victory out of 5 matches and took the 5th place in a group of 6 teams.
Georgians will continue fighting in a qualifying round for 17-22 places. Team who took the 5th and 6th places in the group will participate in a qualifying round. As for the match with Portugal, the first half ended equally. However, our rivals gained advantage in the third and fourth periods and eventually, won by 13 points.
Luka Liklikadze was the most effective with 18 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds. Luka Avaliani scored 17 points. Roland Devidze collected 9 points.
Georgian Team will compete for 17-22 places. Norway will be our first rival. The match will be held on August 15, 20:15 (Georgian time).
