All eight quarterfinalists of the Georgian Cup are known. The matches of the eighth-final series of the mentioned tournament were held the day before yesterday, yesterday and today, and accordingly the names of the teams that will continue to fight for the cup from the quarter-finals have been determined.
Tskhum-Apkhazeti, Mega and Olimpi, who reached the quarterfinals on February 16, were joined by Tbilisi State University team, Kutaisi and Vera yesterday, and today, the winners of the remaining two series were revealed: Batumi defeated an A League representative – Margveti 103:55 in Adjara, while 2 Super League teams – Rustavi and Cactus faced each other in Qvemo Qartli and the latter achieved the victory – 87:79 (Statistics).
Accordingly, all quarter-final pairs are assembled. In the quarterfinals, the teams will have a court advantage according to the initial ranking. The teams that go through the quarterfinals, will compete in the four finals, which will be held in one city. The time and place of the four finals will be announced in March.
