TSU-Hyundai beats Titebi at the last minutes

TSU-Hyundai and Titebi met each other in one of the matches of 17th tour. The result of this match was of great importance for both teams. Titebi would be guaranteed to stay in the Superleague in case of victory, as for TSU-Hyundai, the victory would help them to strengthen position.

The meeting turned out tense. It was going on with a transitional advantage and its fate was decided at the last minutes. After winning the first period 24:21, TSU-Hyundai even improved their performance, strengthened the leadership and advanced by 9 points – 41:32 4 minutes before the big break. Lasha Gamkrelidze’s Titebi didn’t give up and managed to tie the situation, they catch up and even advanced 47:46 after the first half.

However, the third period went on with the dominance of TSU-Hyundai and Nikoloz Cherkezishvili’s team gained an important leadership again.  TSU-Hyundai won this quarter 25:13 but the situation became tense in the last minutes. Both teams had a chance to win at the end, but thanks to the teamgame, TSU-Hyundai managed to win – 99:96.

James Milliken and Marcus Posley led the winners with 22-22 points each. Ratko Petric scored 19 points, Alexandre Pevadze had 17 points. Joel Almeida was the most effective with 31 points in Titebi. Kaheem Ransom scored 31 points and 8 assists.
